禅是什么？

唐朝有一位文起八代的大文豪韩愈，不信佛法，反对佛教。为了谏迎佛骨，被贬到潮州做刺史。当时潮州文化未开，知识分子太少，要找一位讲话的对象都很难。这时，潮州有一位大颠禅师，是石头和尚的弟子。韩愈一想，和尚都有学问，不妨找他谈谈。

“你可以做我的徒弟。”

“好啊！”他十二岁就做了六祖的徒弟了。
