Question: Since everything is a dream, why are there any difference between sin and blessings in the behavior in the dream?

Sodaji Khenpo replied: Although sentient beings in the cycle of reincarnation are like illusions, they have an illusory mind that can feel harm, benefits, suffering and happiness. Therefore, for these sentient beings with illusory minds, if they kill them, they will commit serious evil karma of killing. If they make various offerings, they will also produce illusory blessings.

The reason for the occurrence of blessings and sins is determined by having a mind or not, and does not involve the question of whether it is an illusion.

The illusion-like consciousness of sentient beings is formed by the habits of various illusion-like karma and afflictions. Without these ignorant karma and confusion, the illusion-like mind will not arise.Although sentient beings are of pure nirvana, before their karma and cause and condition are eliminated, the illusion of reincarnation will remain undying, and they have all kinds of suffering and happiness. Only when you fully practice the Bodhi practice, eliminate all the karma and cause and condition like illusion, realize the Buddha's fruit, and be free from defilement and nirvana to be present, all the illusion of reincarnation can be stopped.
