《The Sutra of Hundred Karma is a profound scripture that the Buddha preached that cause and effect is true. There are more than a hundred moving stories, involving monks, nuns, novice, nuns, novice, nuns, upass, upasi, immortals, kings, ministers, Brahmins, donors, residents, hunters and other characters. They vividly explain the true meaning of the cause of good and evil that will bring good and evil.

When the Buddha was in the city of Sarvas.King Sakya of Sarvas and King Fanshi of Deer Garden rose up and fought due to some disputes, and the casualties were very heavy.

One day, King Fanshi led his army again and set up camps near the Kantan River with great momentum; King Sakya was not willing to be outdone and led a large army to fight.Because the troops of both sides are equal, after fighting for a long time, it is still difficult to decide the outcome. At the moment of stalemate, King Sakya's concubine gave birth to a beautiful girl, while King Fanshi gave birth to a solemn boy. Both countries celebrated the birth of their children with singing, dancing, blowing and playing. The drums and music of each other aroused the curiosity of each other, so they sent people to find out the reason. It turned out that King Sakya had a daughter and King Fanshi had a son.At this time, King Fanshi was secretly happy: "This is a good opportunity. When both sides face each other, they will get one child at the same time, which means peace is coming because there can be a truce and a marriage.”

So, King Fanshi sent an envoy to discuss with King Sakya: "Although our two countries have always been fighting each other, we are willing to truce the battle now, and hope that the little prince of your country can be betrothed to the little prince of our country, and the grudges in the past have been eliminated.”

King Sakya was very happy to hear this and thought to himself: "I have been fighting on the battlefield for many years and working hard on state affairs. It is actually tiring enough. If the two countries can be in harmony, it will be in line with my wishes."So, both sides apologized and gave each other generous gifts.

King Sakya considered: “Since my daughter was born, the battle stopped and my body and mind were at peace."So, he named his daughter "Bird Mother" and carefully cared for and fed her. Born Mother grew up quickly like a lotus in the sea.Born to the mother of Le Yue has been virtuous and kind since she was a child. She took refuge in the precepts and gave joyfully. She often went to the Nirvana Sutra Hall to listen to the sutras. She developed great faith in Sakyamuni Buddha, and achieved the fruit of non-return. She possessed various supernatural powers and the eight great liberation and other merits.

She returned to the palace and showed her magical changes to her parents, and told them: "I have achieved the consequences of not returning and I am unwilling to enjoy the life in the world anymore.I hope that my father and mother can allow me to cut my hair in the Buddha's monastic community.”

Parents all say, “You want to cut your hair, we have no right to interfere with you.But when you were born, you had already betrothed to the prince of King Fanshi, so you should also accept his approval.”

Shengle's mother replied: "Okay, I will discuss with the prince.”

At this time, her parents secretly sent a messenger to King Fanshi, saying to King Fanshi: "Do you choose a good time and auspicious time to resolve the prince's marriage as soon as possible? Otherwise, if the prince's daughter becomes a monk, we will have no choice!" After hearing this, King Fanshi immediately chose an auspicious day and notified the world to attend the prince's wedding.

On the wedding day, the prince came to marry in good jewelry and clothes. The prince was also wearing wonderful clothes and colorful clothes and was taken to Luyeyuan. At this time, the prince and the princess were each sitting on a stool, preparing to hold a wedding ceremony. Suddenly, the princess flew into the air to show the magical changes such as thunder, rain, light, hail, fire, etc., and said to the prince: "I have won the law and do not want to enjoy life in the desire realm anymore. Please agree with me to peel my hair.”

The prince thought about it and thought the princess was right, so he said to her, "Please come down first. I speak very well, you can do whatever you want.”

After the prince agreed that after the hair of Shengle Mother was peeling, Shengle Mother happily taught some Buddhist teachings to the guests present. Then, she also received the grace of her parents and came to the Garden of Lonely. She knelt under the Buddha's seat for a long time, bowed respectfully, and prayed: "World-Honored One, if you have a favor with a weak hair, please accept it with mercy. I am willing to cut my hair and keep the pure precepts.”

The Buddha promised and handed her over to Elder Mahapajapati.Elder Mahapajapati cut her hair, gave her precepts, and spread the Dharma. She also practiced diligently and diligently, and soon eliminated the troubles of the three realms and attained the Arhat fruit. Even the heavenly people praised her merits. At this time, she was already the most intelligent saint among the Niu people.

The prince was said to have achieved the holy fruit of Mother Born, so he also cut his hair into the teachings of Sakyamuni Buddha. He made great progress and later eliminated all his troubles and attained the Arhat fruit.

So, the monks taught the Buddha: "What kind of popularity does the Buddha have? The Mother of Born and the Prince were both born in the noble royal family? What kind of popularity does it make them happy and realize the fruit of the Buddha?"

The Buddha said, “This is caused by the power of the past.A long time ago, when the virtuous kalpa was alive for 20,000 years, when the teacher of humans and gods, Tathagata, and Equal Enlightenment Kasyapa Buddha was born, there was a donor with his wealth in Deer Garden in India who lived a peaceful life with his wife and had great faith in Kasyapa Buddha. One day, the couple discussed: 'We have no children, and no matter how many families we have, it is meaningless. It is better to do more support in front of Kashyapa Buddha during our lifetime.'

It was decided that in the future, they would use their wealth to build a sutra hall to support Kashyapa and the monks.Later, both of them cut their hair in front of Kashyapa Buddha, and they did not receive the holy fruit in their lives. However, at the moment of death, they jointly made a vow: 'With the merits of giving and cutting hair in this life, we hope that we will be born in the noble family of the royal family, and when the Buddha's next life, we can make the Buddha happy, and cut our hair all the way under the Buddha's teachings, we will all attain the Arhat fruit.'

With the power of their joint venture, they have now matured, so they can be born in a wealthy family in this life, and be able to cut their hair to achieve the holy fruit together. The contemporary prince and princes are the couple who were the ones who were in the time of Kashyapa.”
