respect the three jewels to receive the cause and effect of respect

to take refuge in the three jewels, we must rely on the power of the three jewels and the help of the three jewels to solve our inner problems. this issue launches one of the "respectful practice and refuge" series "a different learning of refuge to the three jewels", which discusses how to take refuge in the three jewels, three should be learned and three should not be learned, and cultivates our respectful and pious heart towards the three jewels. when a respectful and pious heart is cultivated, we have a kind of power in our hearts.

buddha said to the ancestors: you should be kind and respectful, and be humble and ask for information. he serves with all his heart and provides all kinds of offerings. ——volume 4 of the "miscellaneous agama sutra"

master xuecheng said in the dharma: the saha world is the pure land of sakyamuni buddha. he saw everything pure and solemn. because we have troubles, we saw everything the opposite. if you have troubles, it is like we look at problems with tinted glasses, people, things, and things.

article: respect the three jewels to be respectful, such causes and conditions, such fruits

“when dunpa rinpoche and the great yogi saw broken yellow cloth, they did not easily overcome them while walking, and they shook their place to be pure. in this way, they should practice according to their practice. how can one respect the three jewels be respectful, then all sentient beings can also respect themselves in this way. ”

when dunpa rinpoqing and atisha saw the broken yellow cloth, he did not dare to shiver easily. he "tighten it in a clean place". he picked it up and shook it cleanly and placed it in a clean place. "if you practice this kind of practice, you should practice according to your own practice. how can you respect the three jewels?" means how we respect the three jewels ourselves. "therefore all sentient beings can also respect themselves in this way." then how can all sentient beings respect themselves?

the purpose of our respect for the three jewels is not to make others respect themselves, but to say that you will naturally feel that others respect yourself. for example, some monks in our temples work very hard, diligently, practice and protect the three jewels, so others will be very respectful. this mage is working in obscurity every day. he is also very awesome, as a volunteer, and he will be respectful to everything he sees, hears, and sees.

if we do not have respect for the three jewels, then you will feel that i am the most laborious in the monastic community. in the group of lay buddhists, you will think that i have done the most, and you all should respect me, so that will be troublesome. on the other hand, if we respect the three jewels and have respect for the public, we will naturally respect ourselves and respect ourselves. respect and respect are like this, such cause, such cause, such cause, such result.

first of all, after we cultivate respect, responsibility and confidence in the three jewels, it is naturally easier to do good friends. because buddha can't speak; dharma can't speak, and it can't speak either. after all, monks are far away and rarely can be together. after all, they are a few or individual monks you come into contact with or meet.

you, fellow good friends, classmates, and fellow visitors, are often together. if we cultivate this kind of respect and pious heart towards these buddhas, dharmas, and these monks, we will have a kind of strength in our hearts and this kind of merit, and this kind of merit is a kind of merit that we have achieved.

after we have this kind of merit, we will use it in the state of people and things. in other words, you regard others and the other party as buddhas, dharmas, and monks. it is amazing to treat what others say as dharma, and to the other party, they also regard him as a very high and pure state.

therefore, taking refuge in the three jewels is to learn three kinds of things, and three kinds of things should not be learned. this is not just a lecture to fellow practitioners who want to take refuge today. what we have converted to, once, twice, or three times may not necessarily be able to do it, not necessarily be able to do it well, not necessarily persevere.

in other words, many of our problems arise because of the lack of solid foundation and the lack of true cultivation of respect for the three jewels, which leads to all problems. today, our first class and first lecture, and then we talk about respecting the three jewels and taking refuge, which is also a very special cause and condition.
