This time, as a photography volunteer, I participated in the "Sixth Jingbang Forum· Buddhism and Psychological Treatment" activity of Xiyuan Temple and conducted some psychological treatments.Further realize that you are a "seriously ill patient" in the samsara and have relatively serious psychological diseases.

Before going to Xiyuan, I had some intentions and did some preparations: I bought a new camera and lens, and then upgraded the new and old cameras in a firmware, thinking that everything would be fine, and I came with satisfaction.

The result was contrary to its expectations, just as the saying goes: "Nine out of ten things that are not satisfactory in life.”

Originally, the old camera has always been very useful, but after changing into a new lens, I found that the photos taken were blurry and the picture quality was very poor. Anyway, it could be seen with the naked eye, and it was not even clearer than the card machine, and it was impossible to adjust it.The trouble is not singular. I don’t know if the firmware upgrade is due to the new camera I just bought. The photos I took are cold and have serious color shifts, and even a little distorted.In front of these impermanent objects, a kind of loss, depression and trouble suddenly arrive.

Then I followed my inertial thinking and called the after-sales service of the camera as usual. They asked a few simple situations and guided some settings, but the questions remained the same.Their suggestion is to take the camera to the repair point for further testing... and then I continued to explore and try myself, but the problem was still not solved.So, loss and frustration rose further, and in the end I was too lazy to do it.During the forum, I was forced to take a few photos with the card machine of the propaganda team...

Although such an experience is regrettable, on the other hand, it also provides a rare opportunity to observe one's own thoughts and moves, allowing me to realize the following aspects:

1、This unpleasant photo experience is also an opportunity to test your own state of cultivation.

Generally speaking, senior brothers who are diligent in academy will do things better. They can maintain mindfulness when facing the situation, use Buddhism to observe and resolve it, and make themselves settled in the good object.If the practice is not solid enough, and does not follow the eight steps to study seriously, and with a full range of practice, you will easily have troubles when facing the situation, and may even develop greed, anger, and ignorance.From this, by comparing your thoughts and actions, you have already clearly known your state, and you can also know how to meditate next.

2、Only by putting the Bodhicitta into practice and having enough strength can we "save oneself and save others."

Further reflection, we have been learning Bodhicitta, vowing to be aware of others and save all living beings, but we cannot even "save" two small cameras, making them a stumbling block to me, and also causing some frustration and troubles.Strictly speaking, if even two small cameras cannot be "saved", how can we save all living beings?Of course, we can say that we have a specialty in our skills. People cannot master all knowledge and cannot blame themselves for their complete remarks. Moreover, the world is in constant flow and change, and it is inevitable to experience various situations. We should let go with the flow and remain unmoved.

But when you think about it carefully, you feel that things don’t seem that simple.We have learned a lot of Buddhist names and appearances, and when we encounter things, we should use the Dharma to review, deal with and resolve them.But this kind of response is not an escape, nor is it an excuse to retreat or act inaction.Because ordinary people are extremely cunning and lazy and hate labor.Therefore, while maintaining mindfulness, we must also be brave and diligent, and be proactive in order to make new turning points in things and even turn impossible things into possible.Each of us has consciousness and infinite wisdom (to be developed), so why not fully explore this innate potential?

Specifically, there are 84,000 methods to adjust the camera problem, but after I was controlled by the bad emotions of troubles and frustration, I did not take any action, and even if I did it, I would just stop.

In fact, you can read the instruction manual at this time, and maybe many problems can be solved quickly.I guess not reading the manual is also a habit for many people. They think it is troublesome, afraid that they can't understand it, and waste time.Therefore, many people have no more than 50% of the camera functions, or even less... This kind of psychology and behavior requires profound reflection.

Or call the camera repair point and find an experienced repair master to answer (the ultimate question is to ask the repair point master to do an analysis test and correction and restore normalization).

Or call the business that sells cameras, some experienced technicians know more about the camera (I have always blindly and inertially believed in the 400 phone number of the camera and asked them how to restore the camera to the factory settings. The customer service replied that there is no way, and there is no function.But the merchant told me that I can directly install the two keys of the camera and restore the factory settings in three seconds. This is indeed the case after testing.And I have always believed that 400 phones are omnipotent, aren’t they very ignorant, narrow-minded, and ego-attached?

You can also take it on Baidu, and you have experienced experts in some photography forums (after searching, I found that some netizens who use the same camera complained that the camera was very serious after upgrading the firmware, which would cause the photos to be taken blurry and unclear, but at the same time, the solution was also given)

In addition, you can also ask the photography volunteers around you, and you can also... In short, there are too many methods that we can experiment one by one, maybe just one or two buttons.

Of course, it may also be impossible to solve all the methods we can do. At this time, we can let go and follow the circumstances (this cannot affect the original intention and mindfulness of volunteering). As the saying goes, "If you do your best but cannot get there, you can have no regrets."But the premise is that we must do and work hard, and this kind of effort and action cannot be based on our inertial thinking, habits, and persistence. That is not a real effort, but just a deduction in reincarnation.Instead, it should be a pure mind without worries, not frustration, and not impatient, "renunciation" (retrieving from various attachments, settings, and practices in the present), combined with the courage to move forward, traversing all possible ways, means and methods, and things will usually turn differently.This is also a necessary step to implement the practice of learning. As the saying goes, practice the mind through experience and practice the truth through falsehood.

Finally, I remembered a famous saying from this forum: "It's all my fault.”
