In our lives, what dominates our seeing, hearing, feeling and knowledge is not your eye root or your mouth. The true true face and ultimate mastery are actually our mind and nature, the mind that is not born and destroyed, but we have not found it.
In the Shurangama Sutra, the Buddha refuted the evil view that one can see is the eye.He said: Suppose a person without eyes sees the darkness in front of him, but he meets a good doctor and cures his eyes. Then he sees all kinds of color dust from the state of the past, then this is called seeing.Because his eyes were cured, he saw them.If this happens, from this principle, there is a person in the dark room who originally saw that it was dark in front of him. If you give him a light, he will also see all kinds of color dust. That should be called lamp view. Because of the light, he will see all kinds of color dust.Since it is a lamp view and a lamp can have a view, it is not a lamp, then it is a mental method, not a matter.Also, what does it have to do with lamp viewing?The lamp can be seen, and the lamp is something outside the body. What does it have to do with you, Venerable Ananda?
So what can truly see is that thought of mind. The eyes are just a tool. If the tool is corrupted, what he sees is the dark appearance, but what he can really see is that thought of mind. That mind will not be corrupted.It follows the causes and conditions to see light and darkness, and the visible mind will not be corrupted.We should know that light is just a tool to help show color dust.Then what we can really see is the eyes rather than the lamp, and the eyes are actually a tool to show the color dust. The true master behind it is the mind and nature that we sentient beings possess, not the eye root.
This place reveals our true nature, which we call daily use but do not know.The ancients said: There is a true man in Wuwei who shines light on the six sense doors, but we do not really look back and do not know its existence.To reveal the true nature, you must borrow the manifestation of the body and use the causes and conditions of things to know the existence of the mind.
Zen Buddhism often says: What is our true nature?Go and have a tea!Because when your tongue comes into contact with tea, you feel it.Then most of us don’t know how to drink tea, so we say that this tea is good!The mind changes with the environment.Then, those who know how to drink tea (people who have kung fu) will look back: Hey!Why do I feel this?Where does it come from?Begin to return.oh!It turns out that I have a mind of one thought.
These six senses are just tools, that is a body of retribution, that is, the past karma creates a tool for us to use, this house is to cultivate the truth through falsehood!This Zen Buddhism often says: Go to drink tea and eat cake!But you have to know how to drink tea and eat cakes.If you don’t know how to drink, your mind will follow the circumstances, and that is the mind of clinging to you.You have to look back and find out who is drinking tea?Who is chanting Buddha’s name?Finding the pure and clear mind and nature of one mind is our true residence.So we now call it daily use without knowing it.
In fact, our true nature has not left us, and it has never given up on us.The ancients often said: If you are not reduced, you will not increase. If you are not satisfied, you will not increase.We have created a lot of karma and afflictions in the past. When we go to the three evil realms, our pure nature has never left us for a moment, but we have not just taken it.The ancients often said: Truth and delusion are not separated by a line.Look at me now looking at this flower, and I was turned by this flower: Hey!This flower is good and very good!Delusional mind!But when I looked at this flower at the same time, I also said that this flower is good and reflected on it: it is just a false name, false use, I am not confused, I cannot take it, and the truth is right now.
So when you look at the flowers, you are both delusional and may also show your true heart at the same time.The key is that you climb outward and settle inward, and the key is that.So you must know that the true heart and the false heart are not separated.Our mind can become a devil at any time, and it can become a Buddha at any time.If you do it properly, it will reveal the merits of the Buddha;If you do it incorrectly, it will show the terror of the Demon King, that's it.There is no line between the Buddha and the Demon King. This Mahayana Buddhism talks about the only Dharma. The root of pain is also it, and the root of happiness is also it. The key is that you must be able to understand the difference between these two.Our heart is not wrong, it is because we operate incorrectly.
Therefore, seeing the nature in this way is not the eyes.That is to say: our nature has not left us, you don’t have to say where to look for it, as long as you let go of your delusions, it will appear.We use our own daily use without knowing it, and we don’t take it directly, that’s all.It was because we missed the opportunity, not saying: We asked you to stay away from delusions and find another sincerity, no!When you stay away from delusion, you will appear in the moment!Destroying the delusion and revealing the truth: The moment of breaking the delusion is to reveal the truth, and showing the truth and revealing the truth is to destroy the delusion.When you start by breaking delusions and revealing your true heart, you think in two ways: What is delusion?Climb outward;What is sincerity?Stay inward.Split it out first.But if you slowly want to combine these two sentences, you will succeed and you will be enlightened.
Breaking delusion and realization is to reveal the truth in the moment.Because your mind that you have delusions is also true. If you are confused, it means that the whole body is delusion. If one thought is confused, the whole truth will become delusion;With one thought of enlightenment, all delusions are true.You said: When I became a Buddha, I responded to the thought of a thought under the path of Bodhi. Hey, I saw the stars at night and became enlightened. Is that thought of a thought the same as the thought of you now having delusions?It can also be said to be the same, or it can be said to be different, the nature is the same, and the functions are different.Your delusional mind is your mind to become a Buddha.
But you can also say that it is different, you can also say that it is the same, you have to experience it.The mind you are now having delusions, your mind you are thinking randomly, is the same as the mind you thought when you became Buddhas: the body is the same and the use is different.The Buddha said that truth and delusion are the only two. Delusion is the foundation for activate birth and death, and the true mind is the foundation for activate nirvana. Where is the truth?Just in the delusion, you realize that all delusions become true;When you become inverted, the whole body becomes delusion again.This is the only method of Mahayana!We must experience this carefully!
