Why are Buddha, Dharma and Sangha called the "Three Treasures"

Why are the three types of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha called treasures?Because he is instructing sentient beings to stop evil and cultivate good, to get rid of suffering and happiness, to be free from bondage, to obtain great freedom, to be extremely noble, like a rare treasure in the world, so it is called a treasure. In the "Treasure Nature Treatise", six metaphors of worldly treasures are used to illustrate the meaning of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha called treasure:

（1) Rare meaning.Like treasures in the world, poor people cannot obtain them;The same is true for the Three Jewels. All beings without good roots cannot be encountered in hundreds of thousands of kalpas.

（2) The meaning of separation from the dust.Like the treasures in the world, there is no flaw in the body;The same is true for the Three Jewels, which are free from all impure dust and are the most pure, so they are called treasures.

（3) Power righteousness.For example, treasures in the world can eliminate poverty, cure viruses, etc., and have great power;The same is true for the Three Treasures, which have incredible supernatural powers, so they are called treasures.

（4) Solemn righteousness.Like treasures in the world, they can be solemn and make the world wonderful;The same is true for the Three Jewels. They have infinite merits of unobstructed and can be solemnly adorned to the world, so they are called treasures.

（5) The ultimate truth.Like the treasure jade in the world, it is the most extraordinary among all things;The same is true for the Three Jewels. They are the unobstructed Dharma in the world, the most extraordinary and supreme, so they are called treasures.

（6) Not changing the meaning.For example, the true gold in the world, burning and polishing, etc., the essence cannot be changed;The same is true for the Three Jewels. Because they are unobstructed by the eight winds of worldly praise, ridicule, suffering, happiness, benefit, decline, destruction, and praise, and are always unchanged, so they are called treasure.The "Sutra of the Heart" expresses the meaning of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha as a treasure with the ten meanings of firmness, impure, joy, hard to encounter, ability to break, power, virtue, fulfilling wishes, solemnity, and unchanging. The conclusion says: The treasure of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha is full of infinite supernatural powers and changes, benefiting sentient beings, and has no rest for the time being. Therefore, all Buddhas, Dharma and Sangha are called treasures.
