Many people say: We are studying exoteric teachings, why should we learn Tibetan Buddhism?If you have this idea, it means that your national consciousness is too strong!Where can we go? We should observe the Buddha's nature of equality in sentient beings. Don't just see the differences in ethnic groups, and be too narrow-minded.What's more, the exoteric teachings we have learned have gradually become Buddhist research. Monks only study knowledge. Gradually, like Japanese Buddhism, there is no relationship of faith between students and professors, and they cannot express their inner piety.

One year I went to Myanmar to worship other people's feet. Don't laugh. Most people's feet are smelly. There is an Arhat in Myanmar whose feet are fragrant. Everyone rushed to pay tribute to his feet and worshipped like Buddha's feet.There is also an old Arhat. What is his wiseness?We bring him something to eat, and as long as he eats it, it will turn into a nectar smell.These great practitioners will only experience it after getting close to you, and their faith in the Three Jewels will never regress.

In addition, you should pay attention to the fact that there are seven things that will certainly hinder learning Buddhism and you must be careful.First, the above talks about getting close to good teachers, and on the other hand, we must stay away from evil knowledge. What is knowledge?People who have read the scriptures well and have learned a lot of knowledge have read, but they have no right view and no compassion.The evil knowledge tells you not to give food, as ghosts will come to your house. That is done by monks, not by lay people.The evil knowledge tells you not to release animals, destroy the ecology!He tries his best to prevent you from doing things that benefit sentient beings. He tells you not to pursue the law of victory, but only asks you to do some worldly misconduct.

Second, being separated from women.The so-called separation from women is also separation from men's color. Lust is a major obstacle to practice.A monk once asked me and said that he wanted to come to the TV station to preach. I said yes, but every time he brought a nun to drive for him, he arranged trivial things for him. I told the monk, don’t set a bad example, you should save men. Men and women belong to men, women belong to women. Girls have a lifestyle of girls. Men and women will have emotional persistence after getting along for a long time, which is not good to you and her!So everyone should pay attention to that if a woman cannot get along with other women and only get along with men, you must be careful;If a master has no men around him, all women, and even the waiter is a woman, you should be careful. This person has the mentality of repulsing each other and attracting each other, and he cannot be called a good teacher.

Third, be free from evil awakening.What is evil awakening?Be attached to your own body and become greedy and defilement.Since childhood, you have always looked in the mirror every day and loved to be beautiful every day. This is also very bad, so it is said that "it is self-viewing to describe it, greed, cherish love, and be contaminated and protected."Many people take care of themselves every day, their hair often deforms, their glasses often change, and their clothes every day.I can't say he is bad, but he cares about himself more than others. Loving himself too much is called a narcissist. How can a narcissist love others?

Fourth, be free from anger, arrogance, and jealousy.Like to fight, love to be angry, talk about right and wrong, and be jealous, these will corrupt Bodhicitta.In the teachings of Tantric Buddhism, when the master wants to pass on the great Bodhi Dharma of emptiness to his disciples, it is not acceptable to ordinary people, so it is called Tantric Buddhism.That is to say, if he observes that you still have jealousy and discriminatory minds, he will never pass it on to you the Great Hand Seal or the Great Perfection.The teachings of the Kagyu School are called the Golden Bead Garland. The Golden Bead Garland is a series of one by one. The teacher finds students who are truly determined and passes on this teaching method, which has been uninterrupted for thousands of years.

Fifth, be free from neglect, be slow, and slack.If you want to develop the Bodhicitta, you must get rid of these bad habits - being careless, being slow, and being lazy, doing some good deeds, thinking that you have done some merits and looking down on others.　

Sixth, from the heretics's theory of calligraphy, some people spend less time reading classics, and more time reading magazines and newspapers. Those articles are not necessarily beneficial to the Taoist practices. They must remember that as long as they are "not said by the Buddha", do not praise or read or recite.

Seventh, do not get close to evil views and do not allow yourself to have bad views.If a Bodhisattva cannot stay away from these, he will inevitably encounter obstacles on the path of learning Buddhism. Therefore, the Buddha said, "If you don't see any more Dharma, you will deeply obstruct the Buddha's path." If you don't see any other situations, you will be so serious about the path to becoming a Buddha, which refers to the previous seven situations.
